Gendex - A good index of individuals that are included on private web pages.

Family Search - The Mormon Church site. A very large collection of records with excellent searching capabilities. PAF version 4 is a great program and available for download free.

Cindi's List - The authoritative index for genealogy related information on the Internet. A must for reference.

Ancestry.com - A good collection of files. Many services are free.

USGenWeb Project - Links to information on States and Counties and other online resources. Be sure to follow the state links to the area you are researching. Try the Index of States or the  Georgia Counties index page.

Family Tree Maker - Products and online searches with lots of resources and links.

RootsWeb.com - The oldest Internet genealogy resource with lots of links and information.

Higginson Book Company - An unbelievable collection of family history books are available.

GenForum - Message boards grouped by family. Very good source for discussion groups on surnames.

The United States Civil War Center - Sponsored by Louisiana State University with links to sites with Civil War Information.

Yates Publishing - Search their collection of Family Group Sheets. There is a charge to acquire the actual document.
