Summary of Our Files


  • A relatively complete genealogy of the Bargeron family of Burke County, Georgia is contained in this database. Some information is provided on the Bonnell, Ellison, Herrington, and Murray Families, with limited information on many other connected families.


  • The genealogy of many Madison and Jackson County, Georgia families including: Johnson, Tolbert, Williams, Booth, Thompson, and Carrithers. A fairly complete genealogy of the descendants of James T. Johnson.

  • Families in the Greene County, Georgia areas primarily include: Moore, Howell, Moss, and Jernigan with limited information on many other families. Many of these families migrated to Greene County during the 1800's from North Carolina.

  • Extensive records of the Blanton family of South Georgia and North Florida. The Blanton family came to Brooks and Lowndes County, Georgia in the early 1800's from Duplin and Sampson County, North Carolina. Families represented include: Alderman, Lightsey, Peters, Giddens, Griffin, Knight, and Zeigler.

  • Very complete records on the descendants of Harry Kent (born 1856) who came to America in 1881, settled first in Pennsylvania and moved to Tift County, Georgia in 1894.

  • Also included is limited information on many of the early families of New England, some dating to the Pilgrim immigrants. Surnames include: Dana, Dennison, Wilson, Perrin, Ballard, Champlin, Boylston, Alden, Southworth, Cotton, Seabury, and many others.
