HUSBAND NOTES: OBITUARY: The obituary of Thomas Bargeron: "Sardis Ga. - Services for Thomas Wehlie Bargeron, age 79, who died Thursday afternoon, will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Sardis Baptist church with Rev. H.R. Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardis cemetery. Mr. Bargeron was a life long resident of Burke County, spending his entire life engaged in farming. He was a Member of the Sardis Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Bonnell Bargeron; two daughters, Mrs. G.H. Cooper of Munnerlyn, Ga., Mrs. M.M. Hale, of Rawleigh, N.C.; two sons, H.W. and C.H. Bargeron of Sardis; on sister, Mrs. Fannie Cook of Brooklet, Ga.; two brothers, J.G. Bargeron of Sardis, R.H. Bargeron of Waynesboro; 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Blount, Bill McElmurray, Frank Palmer, O.L. Gresham, J.C. Palmer, E.L. Mulkey. Active pallbearers will be Charles Bonnell, Rommie Bargeron, Wayne Bargeron, Julian Mobley, Grady Mobley, Mett Bargeron." The Tom Bargeron Road near Sardis is named after him and he owned property along this road.
