HUSBAND NOTES: Joshua Blanton Lived in Prince Edward County, Virginia. The 1785 census shows he had 14 white souls living in the household, which may have included servants. The parents of Joshua have not been determined, however one of the Broderbund World Family Tree collections (volume 4, file 3573) shows a Joshua Blanton as the son of Richard Blanton and Ellinor. This Richard was born about 1710 and died in 1803 in Prince Edward County Virginia. Other children of Richard that were listed were: John, Elizabeth, William, James, Richard, and Peggy. It should be noted that Richard Blanton was listed in the 1790 census living in close proximity to Joshua and could have been his father although no evidence has been found to support this.
