(Ellen Payne Odom Genealogy Library, Moultrie, Georgia). Robert Alderman was a clothmaker who in his will dated 1639 gave to his son William "all my shop stuff, which he now has in his possession, which I formerly bought of John Alderman of Belstead". To his son Thomas "the shop stuff I have in my own possession including shears, handles, press, tenters, will all the rest of the implements". To his son Robert he left £5 in currency.
