BIOGRAPHY: Henry Dana was born in Cambridge. He was baptized there on 19 Sep 1762. He died in Brighton on 20 Feb 1817. He married in Cambridge on 31 Aug 1786 to Sarah (Sally) Winship Wilson. Sarah was baptized 15 Jul 1759. She was the daughter of Andrew Wilson and Joanna Winship. Sarah died in Scituate Massachusetts on 9 Feb 1848 at age "85 years 11 days" (which would make her birth date 29 Jan 1763 and would not be right according to her baptismal date). Henry and Sarah lived in that part of Cambridge that is now Brighton. He was a town clerk for 10 years. He was commissioned Ensign in the Massachusetts Militia in 1796 (The Dana Family in America, pages 491-492).
