HUSBAND NOTES:
BIOGRAPHY: Henry Dana was born in Cambridge. He was baptized there on 19 Sep 1762. He died in Brighton on 20 Feb 1817. He married in Cambridge on 31 Aug 1786 to Sarah (Sally) Winship Wilson. Sarah was baptized 15 Jul 1759. She was the daughter of Andrew Wilson and Joanna Winship. Sarah died in Scituate Massachusetts on 9 Feb 1848 at age "85 years 11 days" (which would make her birth date 29 Jan 1763 and would not be right according to her baptismal date). Henry and Sarah lived in that part of Cambridge that is now Brighton. He was a town clerk for 10 years. He was commissioned Ensign in the Massachusetts Militia in 1796 (The Dana Family in America, pages 491-492).
CHILDREN: The children of Henry Dana and Sarah Wilson are: (a) Sarah Dana born 27 Mar 1787 died 1 Apr 1849 married in Brighton 1 Dec 1808 to Charles Hill and had no children (b) Charles Dana born 22 Apr 1789 (c) Henry Ballard Dana born 2 Sep 1791 (d) Mary Dana born 22 Mar 1794 married Lewis R.M. Morse on 19 Jun 1821 in Woodstock, Vermont (e) Martha Dana born 18 Jul 1797, died 16 Sep 1864, married Gilman Henry in Woodstock Vermont (f) Orlando Nelson Dana born 10 Dec 1800 (g) James Dana born 9 Dec 1804 died 21 Jul 1888 married Pamela Bowers.
