HUSBAND NOTES:
Manning White is estimated to have died between 1841 and 1850. The last record we have found is the 1840 census. He had children as late as 1841, and his family was found in 1850 in Bibb County, Georgia. Searches of other census records have not shown a Manning White in other areas.

There is a lengthy discussion of the White and related families near Granville County, North Carolina on page 270-271 in the book Colonial Granville County and It's People, by Worth S. Ray (Washington Memorial Library, Macon, GA). The name Valentine White, E. Valentine White, and close connections to the Mann family are mentioned. The time period is in the 1780s.
