HUSBAND NOTES: OBITUARY: THE VALDOSTA TIMES, Friday, July 3, 1914, page 1. After an illness extending over two years, but which only recently became serious, Mr. W. J. Giddens died this morning at his home on North Oak Street. Mr Giddens had been confined to his bed for the past 4 weeks. He was 41 years of age and for the past 15 years had been sexton at the cemetery in this city. He is survived by his wife, five children, and two brothers, J.J. Giddens of Nashville, Georgia and J.M. Giddens of this city.
