WIFE NOTES:
There is some confusion about Penelope Fleeman. The History of Oglethorpe County, Georgia by Florrie Carter Smith states that Penny, the daughter of Thomas Fleeman married first Robert Busbin then later Thomas H. Brown. This is apparently incorrect since her birth date of 1841 does not match the dates of other children of Thomas Fleeman. Research tends to indicate that there were two Penny (or Penelope) Fleemans. One was the daughter of Thomas Fleeman, and his son James Fleeman also had a daughter Penny who was probably the one who married Thomas H. Brown. The 1850 and 1860 census records support this conclusion.
