HUSBAND NOTES: - BIOGRAPHY: William Cogswell of Ipswich in 1646 was the son of John Cogswell. He was born in England in 1619 and brought over on the Angel Georgiabriel with his father and two brothers. He had the following children: Jonathan, John b. 1650, and others. He was the great grandfather of Reverend Dr. William Cogswell who began the publication of the genealogical registry. He died around 1701 (Genealogical Directory of the First Settlers of New England, Volume I, page 422). !PARENTS-SPOUSE-CHILDREN: Family tree chart prepared by Stanwood E Flitner, Englewood, New Jersey, 1934 for Orlando Nelson Dana and Clara H. Lequin. Copies in possession of Diane Blanton Bargeron and June Blanton. William Cogswell, son of John Cogswell, was born in 1619 and married Susan Hawkes daughter of Adam Hawkes.
