HUSBAND NOTES: - !Information obtained from Internet site on the history of the Mayflower - http://members.aol.com/calebj/mullins.html. William Bradford came over on the Mayflower in 1620. He became the Governor of Plymouth Colony in April 1621 and continued nearly all his life. He wrote a number of books including OF PLYMOUTH PLANTATION. He was the author of the HISTORY OF PLYMOUTH COLONY. WIFE NOTES: - !Information obtained from Internet site on the history of the Mayflower - http://members.aol.com/calebj/mullins.html. Dorothy May Bradford fell off the Mayflower when it was anchored in Provincetown Harbor and drowned. This was an accident but a fictional story in Harpers Monthly in 1869 showed it as suicide which was not correct. She did not have an affair with Captain Christopher Jones. |
