HUSBAND NOTES: - BIOGRAPHY: Alexander Reid was born, reared, and educated in North Carolina and became a farmer and slave owner. He was an early settler of Hancock County, Georgia. In 1806 he moved to Putnam County where he became a large planter with many slaves. He served one term in the State Legislature and was a States Rights Democrat. He died at the age of 63.
