HUSBAND NOTES:
(1) William Ballard of Lynn came on the James from London in 1635 at age 32 with wife Elizabeth, age 26, and children Esther, age 2, and John, age 1. William Ballard was a member of the Artillery Company in 1638 living at Newbury. He moved to Andover, had 7 children and died 10 Jul 1689. (1) His children are: Sarah m. Henry Holt on 24 Feb 1670, William m. Hannah Hooper daughter of William Hooper of Reading on 20 Apr 1682, Joseph, Nathaniel m. Rebecca Hudson daughter of Thomas Hudson. (1) There was mention of his widow "Grace" who died 27 Apr 1694. This may indicate he was married a second time. (3) William Ballard was born in England about 1617 and he died Jul of 1689. He went to Andover, Massachusetts and a wife named Grace was mentioned who died 27 Apr 1694. Their children are: (a) Joseph (b) William (c) Sarah married 24 Feb 1670 to Henry Holt (d) Elizabeth died 11 Jul 1689 married William Blunt on 11 Nov 1668 (e) John born 17 Jan 1635 (f) Hannah born 14 Aug 1665 married John Spalding on 20 Sep 1681 (g) Lydia born 30 Apr 1657 married Joseph Butterfield (h) Abigail(i) Ann married Samuel Butterfield.
