HUSBAND NOTES:
Henry H. Knight was a Berrien County Commissioner for three years and a Representative to the Georgia General Assembly. He introduced the bill to incorporate Nashville and one to protect fish. He was a Mason and carried on the Mercantile Business at Ray's Mill.

!PARENTS-SPOUSE-CHILDREN-DEATH-BIRTH-MILITARY-BURIAL: Henry H. Knight was the son of John Knight and married Mary Susan Ray, he served in Company G, 29th Regiment of the Georgia Volunteers from Berrien County, he was wounded at Pine Mountain and the battle of Jonesboro. He farmed after the war and opened a General Merchandise store in Ray City. He was a County Commissioner for Berrien County. He was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives for the 1892-1893 term. He introduced a bill which incorporated the city of Nashville.
