HUSBAND NOTES: PROBATE: Lists will of John Wilkins dated 18 Jan 1774, 17 Mar 1774 before Joe Martin of Chowan County, "weak in body" wife, Judith - use of my Thick Neck Plantation in Perquimans County until my son Charles comes of age; also the use of my Thick Neck Plantation in Chowan County during her life time; negro man Peter, woman Nell. Son John - use of my plantation near Hoskins's Mill, use of McClennys Plantation, also 4 acres I bought from Joseph Benbury, and then after his decease all to the first two sons of my sd son John when they come of age, but should he have no sons, then all my grandchildren that may be living; also to sd son John negroes Tom and Nan. Son Charles - my Thick Neck Plantation in Chowan County after my wife's decease; also negroes Bell, Lilla, Jack. Daughter Rebecca Cleland - 60£. Daughter Katharine Bains - 20s, negro man Mingo. Daughter Deborah Taylor - the use of negro man Summer during her lifetime and then to her children. Daughter Elizabeth Wilkins - negroes Bash and Beck. Other legacies.
